Without all the facts about the game Diablo 3 it isn't possible to make
up a definitive build. Runes will have a large impact on character builds
for Diablo3, but there is very limited information about them so far.
Looking at the known talents of the Barbarian we can come up with some cool
ideas for now.
The Powerhitter.
The Powerhitter Barb seems like a cool character build. He (or she!) is
armed with a two-handed weapon that does as much damage as possible. A maul
or big axe for example. The Powerhitter will focus on power over speed or
defence. So we will pick our skills from the Juggernaut
tree.
Our Powerhitter will use Ground Stomp to stun or slow down
enemies. This way he can pick them off one by one with his relatively slow
weapon. He can use this skill to prevent to be overwhelmed. We will take
Bash as our main attack, increasing our weapons damage.
The idea is that the stunned enemies can be killed within one or two hits.
The Powerhitter will take the following Juggernaut Passive skills. Two-handed
Weapon Specialization for increasing our weapon damage even more.
Focused Strenght will use strenght as an extra modifier
for our damage. Crushing Blows increases the damage of
Bash so is also a good choice.
Extra skills could be Invigorated to increase your strenght
for a certain amount of time. This can be a usefull combination with Focused
Strenght. Revenge could be a nice alternative for Ground
Stomp. Damaging enemies instead of stunning them. A percentage of the damage
done with this skill will gain your character health.
The Bloodletter.
This Bloodletter Barbarian build is all about killing loads, killing fast
and staying alive while doing so! The Bloodletter will focus mainly on speedy
but dosed attacks. We will take our skills from the Berserker
tree. The main attack for the Bloodletter is the Frenzy
skill. This will increase our damage and attack speed. Wielding two weapons
is an option for the Bloodletter but not a necessity. Maybe a shield is
a good idea.
With Frenzy as our main attack skill we will take the following passive
skills. Berserker State increases the duration of Frenzy.
Relentless Attack will increase the damage of the Frenzy
skill. We will take Speed Boost to increase the movement
speed of the Bloodletter. Getting him quicker near or away from enemy monsters.
Last important skill is Strong Constitution. A skill that
automaticly regenerates health is always a good option!
Extra picks could be Destroy Armor and / or Slashing
Strike. With these skills our hits have more effect or hit more.
